NBA East Finals -- Heat takes Game 3 to take 2-1 series lead

MIAMI -- After a slow and frustrating start, the Miami Heat trounced the Indiana Pacers, 99-87, in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Finals Saturday night at the raucous American Airlines Arena.
LeBron James spearheaded the Heat's concerted comeback effort with 26 points while Dwayne Wade added 23 as Miami overhauled a 15-point first-half deficit. Ray Allen was also superb for the Heat as the All-Star sharpshooter drilled all four of his 3-pointers in the fourth quarter where Miami pulled away.
Even with the Game 2 concussion, Paul George had 17 points for Indiana. Center Roy Hibbert finished with 16 and David West had 13 points, but the two bigs combined only for a meager 7 rebounds.
Lance Stephenson failed to provide his usual spark, registering only 10 points after making just 3-of-9 field goals.
The 4th quarter saw James limping off the court with muscled cramps. But while the 4-time MVP was being treated, Wade held the Heat together and Allen supplied the long distance shooting.
The Heat bench was very active with 31 points while their Pacers counterparts only had 23.
Game 4 of this best-of-7 affair resumes at the American Airlines Arena Monday night (Tuesday AM in Manila).
