Despite dressing only nine players, the New Orleans Pelicans turned back the Los Angeles Clippers, 98-96, Wednesday night at the Smoothie King Center. It was an impressive performance for the Pelicans, who won for the eighth time in 11 games. They hosted the Clippers without Eric Gordon, Brian Roberts and Austin Rivers. Reserve Anthony Morrow led the way with 27 points while All-Star Anthony Davis had 16 and 13 boards. Darius Miller also turned in 16 and Alexis Ajinca added 14 and 11 boards as the Pelicans improved to 31-40. ?We put our jerseys on, we pray before we go out there on the floor.
