SANCHEZ By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 19 Jan 2014 ![]() Marco Demecillo who is known for his courage once again fought gallantly but was blown away in spectacular fashion by Mexican David ?Tornado? Sanchez in Sonora, Mexico. Sanchez who is No.3 in the WBC super flyweight ratings and No. 5 in the WBO, dropped the tough Demecillo towards the end of round four and although the Filipino attempted to get up he soon collapsed back on the canvas and was knocked out at 2:56 of the fourth round. Sanchez won by a 1st round knockout over Venezuela?s Jean Piero Perez last November 2, 2013. Sanchez also defeated Mexican Juan Kantum on August 21, 2013 after Kantun was dropped in rounds 1, 3 and 7 en route to a unanimous ten round decision over Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation flyweight champion Rocky ?The Road Warrior? Fuentes on April 20, 2013. However, Sanchez escaped with a majority twelve round decision against skilful Marlon Tapales in a battle for the interim WBC Silver super flyweight title on February 23, 2013.
