BOXER BLAMES 'BLIND' JUDGES FOR HIS POOR RECORD

PhilBoxing.com

One of two boxers whose fight was not sanctioned by Games and Amusements Board chairman Ramon Guazon because of a very poor record blames "blind" judges for his plight and asked us why we stopped the fight from pushing through.

We explained that all we did was inquire from chairman Guanzon whether the two fights in question which were patent mismatches had been approved by the GAB and he replied that they were not sanctioned and would not be sanctioned.

In an text message to this reporter, Pit Anacaya who had lost his last 15 fights and had a very poor record of 8-22-2 with one knockout and was scheduled to fight former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro whose record stands at 34-13-5 with 24 knockouts, said that his record was bad because "many judges were blind" and that even though he won his fights, he often lost the decision because of the judges.

Anacaya said he had trained hard for his Asian Boxing Federation clash for the vacant super flyweight belt against Sonny Boy Jaro and he wanted to fight so he could become a champion.

The Manila Standard raised the issue of the mismatches with chairman Guanzon on Tuesday, citing reports that former IBF light flyweight champion Florante ?Little Pacquiao? Condes who has a record of 25-8-1 with 21 knockouts was being matched against southpaw Rey ?Tiger? Morano who has a miserable ring record of 8 wins against 38 losses with one draw and one win by knockout having lost 12 of his last 13 fights, while former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro whose record stands at 34-13-5 with 24 knockouts was set to face Pit Anacaya who had lost his last 15 fights and had a pathetic record of 8-22-2 with one knockout.

Sonny Boy Jaro had won the WBC flyweight title in a stunning upset of WBC "Fighter of the Year" Pongsaklek Wonjongkam via a 6th round TKO after sending the longtime Thai world champion to the canvas no less than four times on March 2, 2012.

The Asian Boxing Federation or ABF is one of the latest additions to the growing number of minor organizations.

Anacaya's last win was a ten round decision over Donnie Mabao in June 2009 while Morano's last win was in June 2011 when he beat Sherwin McDo Lungay.
