Reeling Bulls host winless Jazz By Katrina Barnett PhilBoxing.com Sat, 09 Nov 2013 CHICAGO, IL. ? In a showdown between two struggling teams, the Chicago Bulls will welcome the Utah Jazz Friday night at the United Center. The Bulls are surprisingly meek to start the season at 1-3 while the Jazz have yet to barge in the win column after five games. The Bulls, who came away from the preseason without a loss, have lost all three of their away games during the regular season. Receiving their only mark in the win column at home against the New York Knicks, the Bulls will look to stay undefeated at home come Friday evening. In their most recent game against the Indiana Pacers, Luol Deng and Derrick Rose each scored 17 points. The Bulls, however, crumbled in the second half, scoring only 37 points compared to the Pacers 60. The struggles, in part due to Derrick only scoring three points in the second half, are not anything new for the Bulls who have been disjointed since the regular season started. Rose is still experiencing soreness since straining his neck in the season opener against the Miami Heat. Joakim Noah, who was fighting through a groin strain throughout the preseason, has not returned to his full self yet either. With two of the Bulls starters experiencing setbacks, the other Bulls players must step up starting at tipoff on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have not faired any better so far this season. Without a win on their record, the Jazz are still searching for that elusive W. Starting out their last game with a 13-point lead over the Boston Celtics, the Jazz, in similar fashion to the Bulls against the Pacers, lost their lead only to come back within striking distance with about 4:30 minutes left in the game. The Jazz failed to pull through, leaving the game down 10 points. With similar struggles plaguing both teams, Friday night will go a long way to putting the winning team on the right path.
