WNBA -- Chicago Sky sweeps Connecticut Suns
By Tara Tillman PhilBoxing.com Wed, 21 Aug 2013

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Sky swept the season series with their fourth win over the struggling Connecticut Suns Sunday night at the All-State Arena in suburban Rosemont.
It was not an easy victory for the Sky, who overcame a 25-point deficit to hand the Suns their fourth loss in five games.
The Sky were led back by Epiphanny Prince who shook off a slow start and scored 19 of her 21 points in the second half. Prince engineered and facilitated three momentous back-to-back 3=pt plays that gave the Sky their first lead of the game with 2:47 left in the fourth quarter, a lead that they never relinquished. Sylvia Fowles also contributed a monster game with 20 points, 21 rebounds ,two steals and three blocks.
The Suns started off strong led by Tan White who contributed 16 pts on 7 of 12 shooting. They also got healthy contributions from their bench, largely from the 28 pts of Iziane Castro Marques who scored five quick points in the beginning of the final period to push the lead back to 11 in an attempt to stem the tide of the increasingly active and determined Chicago Sky team.
Epiphanny Prince and the Chicago Sky proved to be too much to handle as they put the game on ice by going 7-8 from the free throw line when the Suns attempted to extend the game by fouling. The Sky will now look to continue their momentum on Tuesday as they head to Washington to face another eastern conference foe the Washington Mystics at the Verizon Center.
