BRADLEY'S MANAGER DENIES FIGHT WITH MARQUEZ; PACQUIAO OFFERS BRADLEY $6 MILLION FOR A REMATCH By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 20 Apr 2013 The manager of WBO welterweight champion Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley has denied a claim by Juan Manuel Marquez that he will face Bradley in September at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Marquez who scored a stunning 6th round knockout over eight division champion Manny Pacquiao last December 8 in Las Vegas told ESPN Deportes Radio that he and Bradley, who scored a widely criticized twelve round split decision over Pacquiao were set to fight each other. However, Bradley's manager Cameron Dunkin who revealed in a conversation with the Manila Standard last Saturday that he wants a rematch with Pacquiao because it makes the most sense and would give Bradley a good payday, told the Desert Sun "We don't know anything about it, I don't know any hint about it." Dunkin who was negotiating with Bradley's wife Monica who apparently influences her husband's decision-making about a Pacquiao rematch claimed "I know Monica don't know anything about it." The Standard learned from a reliable source that Pacquiao had offered Bradley $6 million to face him in a twelve round battle for the title of "The People's Champion" giving Bradley the opportunity to keep his WBO title in the event he lost the fight which is expected to take place at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Macau in either the first or second week of October. We learned that since Bradley has insisted he won his first fight with Pacquiao despite the huge controversy that surrounded the split decision, Pacquiao was actually giving Bradley an opportunity to repeat the victory and prove that his win in their first meeting was no fluke. As the moves and counter moves picked up, indications are that Marquez who was reportedly demanding $20 million to fight Pacquiao for a fifth time had also stated he had nothing left to prove facing Pacquiao for a fifth time. Marquez has said several times in the recent past, "I wouldn't want a fifth fight because we got what we wanted. We accomplished the objective we had."
