(Pagcor) Grand Theater in Paranaque City. Dennis Tubieron, the young 23-year-old reigning World Boxing Council international bantamweight titlist, stakes his 118-pound crown against dangerous Indonesian challenger James Mokoginta in the 12-round main event that promises to be a survival of the fittest encounter owing to the two boxers? never-say-die styles. Silvester Lopez, on the other hand, faces Thai Petchnumning Sithsaithong for the WBC ABCO super-bantamweight belt in another 12-round showdown that will be preceded by an all-Filipino meeting between PBF light-flyweight champion Benezer Alolod and title pretender Rey Loreto, also in 12, for the PBF 108-pound plum. International Boxing Federation Youth super-featherweight belt owner Ryan Sermona puts on the chopping block his 130-pound diadem against countryman, no. 6 contender Balweg Bangoyan at the tail-end of the 48-round WBC championship main events. Tubieron, Lopez, Sermona and Bangoyan appeared as guests in last Friday?s SCOOP session, sponsored by AKTV and FILA at the Kamayan Restaurant-Padre Faura. Trainer-coach Archie Villamor, quoting promoter Bebot Elorde, said victories by Tubieron and Lopez over their respective challengers could earn for them world title fights in their respective weight divisions. The 90-round presentation, promoted by Hall of Famer Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde?s son Bebot, will be held for the benefit of the street children of Barangay Sto. Nino, a village built the seven-year world junior-lightweight titleholder himself in Paranaque City. A pair of 10-rounders featuring light-flyweight campaigners Bitoy Villegs against Ricky Oyan and bantamweight s Ernesto Saulong versus Cris Leon serves as supporting mainers. An eight-rounder pitting lightweights Al Rivera against AHL Grumo and a six-round matchup between super-bantams Vergel Nebran and Menardo Zaragosa complete the supporting events. A pair of four-round curtain-raisers between light-flyweights Ian Ligutan and Aprilito Agcopra and super-middleweights Arnold Garcia and Iranian Razi Madjid rounds out the slambang affair.
