PAGARA BROTHERS, THE HOTTEST PINOY BOXING SIBLINGS (PART III) By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Fri, 24 Aug 2012 Much has been written about Albert Pagara, the fast-rising ALA Gym fighter. While Jason has grabbed the international title once again, not a few boxing experts are looking at the younger brother to follow the footsteps of his elder brother. The website boxingprospects.info had this to say about Albert: ?Sometimes in this sport we can get ahead of ourselves and feel that a fighter is nailed on to be a megastar and this might be the case for 18 year old Filipino "Prince" Albert Pagara though we can't help but think that Pagara probably will be a boxing star. The younger brother of (world rated) Jason Pagara is thought of as being one of the best boxers under the age of 20 and is tipped for a long and successful career? He was no longer ?Jason Pagara's baby brother? he was a fighter who was making a serious impression in his own right.? S. Graveson wrote about Albert Paraga in the website hubpages.com: ?17 year old superstar in the making ?Prince? Albert Pagara is one of the fighters that it's impossible not to get a little bit excited about? Pagara does still look like a novice in the ring, though what is more eye catching is that Pagara looks like a skinny little boy in the ring, this is likely to change as his body fills out and he moves up the divisions, though he could be a seriously scary fighter if he continues to improve the way he has done over the past 11 months. Pagara is currently fighting as a super flyweight, though I could easily imagine him fighting as high as featherweight in the next 5 or 6 years.? Philboxing.com web editor Dong Secuya also sees a bright boxing future for Albert as he wrote: ?With hundreds of amateurs and professionals vying for recognition from the churning sweatshop known as the ALA Gym, Albert 'Prince' Pagara emerges as the next hot prospect to watch after he demolished veteran campaigner Lowie Bantigue in an impressive fashion Sunday night at the Gaisano Country Mall carpark ALA-Cobra Sinulog boxing event.? Lemuel P. Maglinte of the Freeman Cebu wrote: ?There is no question that Pagara will be one of the future boxing stars in the famed ALA Gym that has produced a number of top fighters like two-division world champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes, world title contender Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo, Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista and AJ ?Bazooka? Banal to name a few.? Some boxing enthusiasts are criticizing that Albert was hyped through media. Every fan is entitled to his own opinion and media publicity is very much a part of professional boxing. Without advertising, professional boxing won?t sell. Promoters would want their boxers to be celebrated and that?s the truth in the world of boxing especially if the fight is shown on pay-per-view. Prince Albert is still a teenager and ALA Promotions is grooming him for stardom like Jason. He exudes a lot of ring savvy against more seasoned opponents. Boxing experts knew too well that a manager would not force his rising fighter to face top boxers immediately. It will be a step-by-step ?slowly but surely? journey for the ?Prince? to glory.
