PACQUIAO PROMISES NOT TO DISAPPOINT FANS By Eddie Alinea PhilBoxing.com Sun, 03 Jun 2012 LOS ANGELES, CA (PNA) ? The last time World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao won via a stoppage was in 2009 when he won by TKO Miguel Cotto in the 12th or last round. The next four outings against Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez ended via decisions. Against Marquez in the last of their trilogy, it was an embarrassing majority verdict. Last Friday, Pacquiao vowed to fashion what could be his best performance in three years when fights American Timothy Bradley a week from now in Las Vegas. Saying he knows boxing fans are somewhat disappointed with the results of his last four fights dating back to 2010 when he failed to stop all his opponents, Pacquiao said this time, it will be different. ?As I have been saying, I always fight for the fans. I fight to make them happy,? the 33-year-old boxing hero in his country, reiterated. ?I know boxing fans, and that include our all over the world, including our Kababayans, were not so happy with how I fought lately.? ?But now, I promised them that I will be giving them a fight they want to see,? he assured this writer following a brief three-hour workout Friday at the Wild Card Gym with assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez taking over chief trainer Freddie Roach. Roach was in Philadelphia, according to assistant strength and conditioning coach Marvin Somodio, to appear as guest in a television program in relation to marketing the fight. The eight-division world champion, as usual, refused to make a prediction on how the fight will come out, except to say that he will do everything to complete a 16 straight winning streak since suffering his last loss in 2005. Pacquiao and the undefeated junior-welterweight champion Bradley square off June 9 at the MGM Grand Arena with the Filipino?s 147-pound diadem at stake. And if Fernandez is to be believed, fans, indeed, will be seeing a new Manny Pacquiao in his showdown with the loudmouthed Bradley. ?Everybody will be surprised. Even Bradley will be surprised with how Manny will fight him? Fernandez told s few selected Filipino sportswriters covering Pacquiao?s training here. ?First and foremost, may peace of mind na si Manny, wala na siyang problemang emosyonal at mental,? he related. Isa pa, iba ang kondisyon nya ngayon.? ?For the first time kasi, nandito hindi lamang si Jinkee, but, likewise, his four children ? Jimwell, Michael, Princess and Queenie -- manonood lahat ng laban,? Fernandez disclosed. ?Bradley?s style, you see, looks what the doctor prescribe for Manny?s,? Fernandez added. ? Super ang firepower ngayon ni Manny which hindi ko nakita matagal na. Kanina nga sa mitts, nayayanig ako sa lakas ng suntok niya.? ?I think it will be a very very crucial mistake if Bradley decides to mix it up early. This is because once he is hit by Manny, all he could do the rest of the easy is run for his life. Matatakaot na yun, kasi mawawala na and record nya na di natatalo,? he assessed. But for how long, Bradley will be able to run for cover, Fernandez said, he wouldn?t know. ?Should succeeded in avoiding a knockout, I?ll tell you, kung matapos man ang 12 round, bugbog sarado si Bradley,? Fernandez predicted.
