RUBILLAR-SINGWANGCHA ROUND BY ROUND! By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Tue, 18 Jul 2006 Both fighters are now ready to plunge into action, but the perfunctory introduction of numerous sponsors is still on going. Boxing Thailand-style includes having all reps of these sponsoring companies get up the ring, introduced and then they shake hands with the boxers. This round by round is courtesy of Thailand-based Perry McNeely, who now lives in the paradise city of Pattaya. Round One--Not much action, close round but I'm sure they gave it to the local boy. Round Two--Another very close round, but it seems Rubillar had a very slight upperhand. Round Three--Rubillar has a very slight edge in this round. But again, you never know how they score it in Thailand. Round Four--A real hard-fought round for both boxers, as they both land punches on each other. But Rubillar is the aggressor and Wandee keeps on retreating. Round Five--Wandee slightly wins this round, as he landed a few good hard punches. But Rubillar still coming on strong. Round Six--Another hard-fought round, with the Thai winning this round by the skin of his teeth. Still, neither fighter seems to have hurt the other. Round Seven--Another even round, so your guess is as good as mine as to whom this round goes. If this fight was held in the Philippines, Rubillar should most likely win it. Round Eight--An action-packed round, with both boxers landing hard punches on each other. Round Nine--Another very hard-fought round, but Rubillar seems to have the edge as he landed more punches. Close round, though. Round Ten--Rubillar wins this round, but barely, as Wandee is still very competitive. It's still anybody's game. Round Eleven--Both fighters now looking very tired, and the fight gets sloppy, although Rubillar seems to have a slight edge in this round. Round Twelve--A very close last round, but it seems Rubillar has a very slight edge. Soon we will know how the judges score the fight. AND THE WINNER IS WANDEE SINGWANGCHA BY UNANIMOUS DECISION!!! There you go, that's how the cookie crumbles. Click here to view a list of other articles written by Salven L. Lagumbay. |
