White Collar Boxing Show

A White Collar Boxing Show sanctioned by The International White Collar Boxing Association (IWCBA), the sole governing body for the sport of white collar boxing, is being put on by The Real Fight Club of London. The date is October 23, 2009. The show will feature a New York Team vs a London Team. This will be our twelfth exchange and seventh in London. Anyone interested in being part of The New York team should contact Bruce Silverglade at (718) 797 2872 or bruce@gleasonsgym.net . All weights and levels of ability are being considered. Participants of the Gleason's " Fantasy Boxing Camp" will be given first choice.

Amateur Boxing Show

Our Next Amateur show is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st. Sign up to participate quickly. The show will be at our new outdoor sight. The Manhattan Bridge underpass on Water St. next to the new gym location. The show will include junior, senior and master boxers. The show is sanctioned by USABoxingMetro. If you wish to participate contact New York's number one matchmaker Angela Querol at (718) 797 2872 or gleasons75@aol.com . The weigh in will start at 5:00PM and the first bout will begin at 7:00PM. The ticket price is: $25 per person for general admission and $50 per person for ringside seating. All amateur members with their license in hand and Gleason's Gym members will get a $10 discount on general admission.

Artists Wanted

The 13th DUMBO Art Under The Bridge Festival sponsored by The DUMBO Arts Center will be held September 25 through 27, 2009. Over 100,000 visitors will come to DUMBO for this festival. You can be part of it. Gleason's Gym closes for workouts on Saturday and Sunday and opens as an Art Gallery. For the past two years we had over 35 artists show their creations. All Medium of Art is welcome. We have had painters, photographers, sculptors, illustrators, authors, furniture makers and vocalists. The only requirement is that the art has something to do with boxing. Gleason's Gym will pay all fees associated with the show and you keep 100% of what you sell.

Book your spot at our famous annual Fantasy Boxing Camp.

The Gleason's Gym 7th Annual Fantasy Boxing Camp will be at Kutsher's Country Club in Monticello, New York over the Labor Day Weekend, September 4 through September 7, 2009. The camp is open for anybody that likes boxing. Our youngest attendee was 12 and our oldest attendee was 76. There are professional and amateur boxers and businessmen and women boxers, and just plain fans of boxing that attend. There will be four days of intense training with some of boxing's greatest champions. Join Carlos Ortiz, Emile Griffith, Iran Barkley, Mark Breland, Juan LaPorte, Alicia Ashley, Melissa Hernandez, Hector Roca, Yuri Foreman, Martin Gonzalez, Terry Southerland and others training and fun at this year's camp.
