MELLIGEN, FUENTES HEADLINE SUMMIT FIGHT NIGHT BOXING TOUR IN MANDAUE CITY

ALA Boxers Mark Gil Melligen and Rocky Fuentes will face separate opponents this Saturday June 27 at the Mandaue Plaza Square to kick off the SUMMIT FIGHT NIGHT VISMIN BOXING TOUR.
ALA Promotions and Summit Natural Drinking Water formally launched the boxing promotion during a press conference Friday morning at the Sugbahan Restaurant in Mandaue City.
Melligen (9W-3L-1D, 3KO?s) of Bacolod City will fight veteran Roger Galicia (23W-9L-4D, 7KO?s) of the Tiger City Gym of Mandaluyong in a ten round contest. Fuentes (23W-6L-2D, 13KO?s) of Cebu City will face Allan Ranada (7W-20L-1D) of Bohol in an eight rounder.
This fight card will also feature the highly entertaining Jun Intor vs. Roldan Malinao in a four round contest. This will be one of a series of fight cards that will be free to the public.
The four preliminary bouts will pit Marjhun Macahilig vs. Michael Espinosa, Leo Torres vs. Powell Balaba, Jomar Cordinillo vs JR Salvador and Melchor Abcede vs. Jherpol Valero. Amateur bouts will start at 5:30 P.M. while the professional contests start at 7P.M.
During the press conference, ALA Promotions Vice-Pres. Dennis Canete and Summit Senior Brand Manager Henry Simon talked about their continuing commitment to develop quality amateur and pro boxers. The Summit Fight Tour will cover Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Gensan. Hot superlightweight prospect Mark Jason Melligen also attended the event fresh from a successful U.S. campaign.
