CISO ?KID TERRIBLE? MORALES RETURNS JUNE 20th; SETS SIGHTS ON DANIEL PONCE DE LEON

PhilBoxing.com

WBO world rated #5 super bantamweight young prospect Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales is set to clash with Donriel Marcos on June 20th in Naga, Cebu.

The Talibon, Bohol prospect after winning the WBO Oriental / Youth super bantamweight title against Indonesia's Marangin Marbun has already successfully defended it on three outings against formidable opponents and is now looking for bigger fights.

Morales in an interview at his Cebu City Gym informed that he would like to take on bigger names. "I want to fight Daniel Ponce De Leon or any big name out there in the States. ?Gusto ko mahibao unsa ang akong potential sa world title? (I want to know what my potential is to become a world champion) Morales said in his Boholano language. I know I am worthy to fight for the world title," Morales said.

Morales has racked up an undefeated record of 14wins-0loss-8ko and is promoted by Cebu promoter Sammy Gello-ani who is seeking to propose a fight with Daniel Ponce De Leon versus Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales possibly this coming late July or August.

?Nevertheless, like my other of prospects we are looking for competitions and we are looking for challenges that will elevate these prospects to another level. My program this May 28th at the Cebu Coliseum serves as an example of how competitive I want my boxers to be in. Remember when Manny went to the States, no one believed in his ability, but after given the chance to fight Ledwaba for the IBF world title he knocked Ledwaba out, who was then one of pound for pound best fighter in the world at that time".

?Then Pacquiao called out Barrera and Morales and no one gave him the chance to win over them and he also prevailed there, he beat all of them, now he is the pound for pound King. It?s because he took chances and proved himself against worthy opponents and he was not afraid to take on any champions or any comers, this is what I am trying to explain?.

?With that in mind, Daniel Ponce De Leon fits the bill for Morales, he is exactly in the path of ?Kid Terrible? way to glory. The credentials that De Leon has for beating Boom Boom Bautista and Gerry Penalosa is very big here in the Philippines and this would be a big extravaganza for the fight fans at Cebu to be looking forward to. I will probably stage this fight at the Cebu City Sports Complex because of the magnitude of this match," explained Gello-ani.

?We as promoters are always at the risk of losing financially and losing what we have invested on however, it will surely pay off if should my fighter win and win big against a credible formidable opponent," Gello-ani added.

?Let?s be realistic, if we just keep promoting and not knowing what exactly we have, we are just fooling ourselves and fight fans are not going to believe in the fighters we promote. The bottom line here is, we need competition, fight fans wants competition to move our prospects to another level," Gello-ani points out.

?As for Morales, the team feels that it's time to take on all comers. Because other Filipino managers are trying to build their own prospects and not wanting to compete with each other within our country, there is really no competition here in the Philippines, if there is, I am willing to open my doors to anyone and we can make things happen," Gello-ani said.

?However, in the case of Kid Terrible, the good relationship I have with Golden Boy Promotions of making things happen in the Philippines , staging a Ponce De Leon versus Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales is looking very realistic. On going negotiation with GBP Vice President Eric Gomez is still in progress."
