MANDAUE FIGHT RESULTS: ALLANIC-MAGALE ENDS IN DRAW; DENOY, GASCA WIN By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sun, 16 Nov 2008 The rains failed to dampen the enthusiasm of Mandaue City fight fans who witnessed the SUMMIT FIGHT NIGHT Boxing Tour last Saturday night at the Mandaue City Plaza. The open air fight card was interrupted by a downpour after the first pro bout which had Andy Seneres and Albert Villacampa battle to a split draw. The rains continued for less than an hour but the water had to be swept from the canvas that needed a few minutes to dry. In the main event the fight between Robert Allanic and Carlo Magale had to be stopped after the first round as an accidental clash of heads caused a deep cut above the left eyebrow of Allanic. The ring physician recommended a halt to the bout and it was declared a technical draw. Along Denoy (18 W-7L-1D , 9 KO) landed the more telling blows and won a 7th round technical decision win over Jason Geda (9 W- 5L- 3D). Geda got point deductions in the second and seventh rounds due to head butts. The fight was stopped in the seventh per recommendation of the ring physician. Denoy was ahead on the scorecards ? 69-63, 68-65, 69-63. Roli Gasca, (6W-0L, 1 KO), winner of the Search for the Next Pinoy Boxing Star, scored a 4th round TKO win over Orlan Enriquez (5W-8L-1D). Enriquez went down twice in the 4th, due to an accumulation of punches to the body. Other supporting bouts: Edcel Tunacao scored a first round TKO win over Melchor Abcede. Larry ?Bon Jovi? Canillas won by 5th round TKO over Robert Awetin. The fight card was opened by five exciting amateur bouts. It was free to the public and organized by ALA Promotions.
