The Tokyo Olympian Knott clocked in 23.48 seconds, followed by fellow national athlete Angel Frank (24.56) and Danae Manibog (24.72) of FilAm Sports.

Twenty two-year old Jamela De Asis of the University of Santo Tomas reigned supreme in the Women's Shot Put Open category to claim the gold medal. This is her second year competing in the Philippine Athletics Championships, and she hopes to duplicate her victory when she competes in the Women’s Hammer Throw event.
De Asis dominated the Women's Shot Put in 12.05 meters. Sarawak Sukma Malaysia's Ng Jing Xuan (10.78) was second followed by Far Eastern University's Mary Jean Maloloy-on (10.44).
