Ancajas TKOs Soto in 5th round

FORMER world champion Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas landed three right uppercuts to stop Wilner “Wilber” Soto of Colombia in the 5th round Saturday, June 24 at the Armory in Minneapolis.
It was the first win by Ancajas in the bantamweight division since he lost to Fernando Daniel Martinez twice last 2022 in the IBF World super flyweight title.
The 31-year-old Ancajas now has 34 wins with 23 knockouts against 3 loses and 2 draws while Soto, 32, suffered his 13th loss against 22 wins.
Ancajas won the IBF World super flyweight title in 2016 and defended it successfully nine times.
Meanwhile, Jade Bornea of General Santos City lost by a technical knockout in the 11th round to undefeated Fernando Daniel Martinez for the IBF World super flyweight title.
