 Richard Garde.
MINIMUMWEIGHT Richard Garde from Pres. Roxas stopped veteran Ryan Makiputin of Valencia City after the second round yesterday in the main event of the “The Battle 2” at Elorde Davao Gym,
The 22-year-old Garde immediately landed powerful punches against Makiputin in the first round.
Makiputin also tried to hurt Garde with his left and right punches early in the second round. But Garde retaliated with his own punches until the end of the round.
The 32-year-old Makiputin already quit due to his running out of air.
“My wind and strength are gone,” said Makiputin.
Garde improved his record with four wins, one loss and three knockouts while Makiputin suffered his 21 loss with 13 wins and two draws.
“Makiputin is also strong because he is a veteran”, said Garde.

The 26-year-old Makita of MP Davao Gym hit Diale in the head with his head punches to end the fight at one minute and 32 seconds.
