DUKC to stage pro boxing on Nov. 26

THE Davao Ultimate Knockout Challenge (DUKC) Promotion will finally stage professional boxing on November 26 at the Elorde Davao Gym in Matina.
“It's a continuously evolving sport that in my time I cannot fathom an ending to its evolution,” said promoter Alfie Angelo Jonsay.
Dubbed as “The Battle II Professional Edition”, the event will feature one six-rounder plus five four-rounders.
The main event, a six-rounder, will be Richard Garde of DUKC against Ryan Makaputin of Malaybalay Boxing Stable at 105 pounds.
The matchmaker is Rodel Garde while it is in cooperation with the Mindanao Professional Ring Officials Association (MinPROA) headed by its president Alberto “Bebot” Dulalas and the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Davao under OIC Arnulfo Paterno Sazon II.
DUKC had earlier two promotions but they were all in amateur boxing.
“My love for sports. I intend to have pro boxers,” said Jonsay.
A refresher seminar workshop for the professional judges and referees in Davao City will be held in the morning at Elorde Davao Gym.
