LAS VEGAS -- Mexican superstar and WBA/WBC/WBO super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez and IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant of the United States made weight Friday without any untoward incident as the two were held not close enough with each other during the face-off at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the Undisputed championship Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) in the 18,000 capacity venue. Alvarez is the heavy favorite to defeat Plant but the American promised make history Saturday night to become the first undisputed super middleweight in history.
