Boxing community again asking help from GAB

DAVAO CITY – The boxing community led by Dante Almario, president of Philippine Boxing Promoters and Managers Association, is again asking for help from the Games and Amusements Board headed by Abraham Mitra.
They are asking for the second time from GAB this time from the national government. The boxing group said that other sectors have already been receiving second or third “ayuda”.
They are also requesting for the free renewal of licenses of matchmakers, promoters, managers, boxers and trainers from 2021 to 2023.
For the meantime, they are also asking for the free documents like the LOA, medical certificate and others.
To make it easier to help the needs of boxers, if possible, find a way to return to your office the administration of the Boxers Welfare Fund deposited in the national treasury),” they said.
The boxer welfare fund is deducted from each fight of the boxers and it comes from the money of the managers, trainers and boxers.),” they said.
They are hoping that GAB will heed their requests immediately.
