NBA -- The Lake Show tames Bulls, 118-112
By Ricardo Carbajal PhilBoxing.com Thu, 07 Nov 2019

CHICAGO - After taking a commanding 65-46 lead with only 54 seconds left in the second quarter, the Chicago Bulls appeared well on their way to an easy win that would put them back on track following a slow start to the season.
But the Lakers had other plans.
Down 93-80 entering the final frame, the Lakers went on a 16-0 run to seize the lead before holding off the Bulls with 38 fourth-quarter points. The Bulls managed only 19 in the last 12 minutes of play, stunning a full-house home crowd of 20,917 at the United Center.
"This one hurts. We were beating them up until the fourth quarter," Bulls spitfire Zach LaVine told reporters.
The loss sure did hurt in the overall standings as the Bulls fell to 2-6 including two straight.
LeBron James served his third straight triple-double, this time a 30-point, 10-rebound and 11-assist gem. Anthony Davis, who left New Orleans to join the Lake Show during the offseason, had a quiet 15 points and seven rebounds.
But it was Kyle Kuzma who started a 16-0 fourth quarter that doomed the Bulls. Kuzma finished with 15 points.
Quinn Cook, who was a key sub for the Golden State Warriors during last June's NBA Finals. was superb off the bench with 17 as the Lakers shot 45 of 92 from the field and 11 of 33 from threes.
The Bulls lost despite shooting 50.6 percent from the field (43 of 85) and converting 14 of 32 triples ((43.8 percent).
With their six consecutive victory, the Lakers improved to 6-1.
