NBA -- Clarkson, Cavs fall short against the Pacers
By Rex Alba PhilBoxing.com Sat, 02 Nov 2019

CLEVELAND -- Jordan Clarkson notched 20 points in 27 minutes off the bench while Kevin Love had a monster performance with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
But the efforts fell short as the Cleveland Cavaliers lost a rugged 102-95 decision at the hands of the Indiana Pacers on Friday night at the Bankers Life Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
It was the third loss in five outings for Cleveland, which led 26-19 after one quarter before going through a drought in which they scored only 11 second quarter points. And no thanks the Indiana's stifling defense, the Cavaliers were held to just 32 of 87 from the field (36.8 percent) and they missed 21 of 32 triples.
A catalyst in the Milwaukee Bucks team that made the Eastern Conference Finals last May, Malcolm Brogdon took his talents to Indiana where he signed four-year $85 contract as a free agent this past July. The transfer has instantly been rewarding for the Pacers as Brogdon continued his fine play with 25 points, 8 rebounds ans six assists.
"I love it. This is a basketball city, a basketball state. People show me a lot of love. I'm going to enjoy playing here," Brogdon told ESPN.
Jeremy Lamb added 21 points while Damontas Sabonis contributed 18 points and 17 rebounds for the Pacers, who prevailed despite making only 40.6 percent of their shots and going only 5-for-27 beyond the 3-point arc. With their second straight win after an 0-3 start, the Paxers 2-3 for the season.
