PhilBoxing.com

Albert Pagara (C).

Prince Albert Pagara together with fellow ALA fighter Jeo Santisima will collide against respective opponents in the 46th edition of the ABS-CBN sponsored Pinoy Pride series on August 17, 2019 at the Ormoc City Superdome.

Pagara will clash with knockout specialist Ratchanon Sawangsoda of Thailand in the main event, while Santisima tangles with Alvius Maufani of Indonesia.

Pagara is currently the WBO intercontinental super bantamweight titlist and has won five successive fights since his devastating first defeat, both as professional and amateur, to Mexico's Cesar Juarez by 8th round KO in July 9, 2016.

He won over Ghana's Raymond Commey by unanimous decision, Thailand's Aekkawee Kaewmanee by 4th round KO, Tanzania's Mohammed Kambuluta by 4th round KO, Ghana's Laryea Gabriel Odoi by 3rd round TKO, and Ghana's George Krampah by 1st round KO.

The Maasin City born fighter now has a career record of 31 wins, a single loss, no draw, 22 wins by KO and a 69% KO rate, having fought 147 rounds in 32 fights.

The 25-year old Pagara is now on the right track to redemption and has climbed to the rankings at No. 3 in the WBO world ratings, with Mexico's Emmanuel Navarrete as the current champion.

There are four Filipinos in the top ten WBO rankings. Marlon Tapales is at No. 1 and Juan Miguel Elorde is ranked No. 2 both ahead of Pagara. ALA Gym stablemate Santisima is rated No. 7.

The 28-year-old Sawangsoda became WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver super flyweight champion when he won by a first round TKO of journeyman Caem Rasmanudin of Indonesia.

Born Ratthapon Sawangsoda in Si Sa Ket, Thailand on July 6, 1991, now aged 28, and nicknamed "Lucky Tor Buamas" he is an orthodox fighter, presently residing in Bangkok.

Juan Miguel Elorde (28-1, 15 KOs), the grandson of the legendary Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde, stopped Sawangsoda, knocking him thrice in the third round en route to a TKO win on July 15, 2018 in the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Lucas Matthysse bout in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sawangsoda now sports an interesting record of 12-3 with12 KO wins and 3 KO losses. That means all his wins are by knockout and he likewise lost his fights all by KO.

He also lost to Sho Ishida (28-1, 15 KOs) by 3rd round knockout on February 24, 2018 in Osaka, Japan in a scheduled 8-rounder.

Sawangsoda has boxed a total of 42 rounds in his 15 bouts for an 80% KO rate.

His third loss came at the hands of Rene Dacquel
(20-9-1, 6 KOs) on April 1, 2016 by 9th round TKO for the interim OPBF superflyweight title and the vacant OPBF silver superflyweight title
