KaiChing to defend titles vs. Li on May 12 Hong Kong

ORTHODOX Raymond Poon KaiChing of Hong Kong will stake his two titles plus add one more in defending against Xiang Li of China on May 12 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong.
The 23-year old KaiChing (7W-1L, 4KO) will defend his World Boxing Council Asia Boxing Council Continental and Asia Boxing Federation light flyweight titles.
He will also add the vacant World Boxing Organization Youth light flyweight title in fighting Li (6W-2L-1D, 2KO).
KaiChing defeated Awirut Chahladloes in technical knockout in Macao last Dec. 31, 2018.
KaiChing won the vacant ABF and WBC ABC titles by beating Ryo Narizuka by majority decision in Hong Kong in July 14, 2018.
Li, on the other hand, defeated compatriot Tao Li by a unanimous decision last March 30, 2019 in Shanghai.
The 20-year old Li lost to Jonathan Almacen of the Philippines in the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver minimumweight last Nov. 18, 2018 in Pasay City.
The boxing event is promoted by Jay Lau of DEF Promotions with Alan Chau and Zhiguo Zhang as the matchmakers. Dr. Rene Bonsubre is the doctor. (Lito delos Reyes)
