ACTION PACKED EASTER SUNDAY IN MEDELLIN

MEDELLIN, CEBU - The Medellin Dockside hosted an outdoor boxing show on Easter Sunday much to the delight of the fight fans who were enjoying the last day of their long Holy Week holiday.
The event was opened by amateur contest featuring local standouts and capped by four professional contests.
The main bout saw Jerry Ambrad make a successful pro debut with a unanimous decision win over Kervent Aersco. It was a back and forth slugfest that served as the perfect nightcap. The scores ? Carlos Costa ? 40-36, Noel flores ? 39-37 and Neil Papas ? 40-36.
Rhonvex Capuloy beat Mel Ando by unanimous verdict, all the aforementioned judges had it 40-36. Cedie Noblefranca and Rolly Dorong battled to a split draw. Neil Papas had it 38-38, Noel Flores ? 39-37 for Noblefranca and Carlos Costa ? 39-37 for Durong. In the opening pro bout, Elmer Naason, who was also make his debut,knocked out Wilbert Rota with a body punch in just 21 seconds.
The referee for all four contests was Teddy Alivio. The fights were supervised by Arlene Olondriz and Rolando Mendoza of GAB Cebu. The promoter was Lorenzo Chao Sy.
