NBA - - Another rout pushes Spurs at low point
By Daniel Quindao Guden PhilBoxing.com Sun, 02 Dec 2018

MINNEAPOLIS - For the first time under the watch of head coach Gregg Popovich, the San Antonio Spurs lost back-to-back games by at least 30 points, a rarity for a franchise that is steeped in winning tradition.
After losing on the road to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 128-89, on Thursday, the Spurs were walloped by the Rockets in Houston the following night, 136-105.
"It's a game where you try to continue to get better at all aspects. We're obviously discombobulated on offense. So a lot of that has to do with me. I've got to do a better job there.I think defensively, we've obviously got to shore up our effort and our wisdom at that end of the court. So, we've got a lot of work to do.," Popovich told ESPN.
The have been decimated by injuries but the Wolves were unsympathetic on Thursday at the Target Center where they bludgeoned San Antonio with seven players scoring in double figures in points.
Robert Covington led the way with 21 points and nine boards while Karl Anthony-Towns fired 16 and 11 rebounds. Derrick Rose chipped in 16 off the benchand Taj Gibson. Rookie Josh Okogie finished with 12 while Dario Saric and Andrew Wiggins had 10 points apiece.
Eric Gordon and James Harden combined for 49 points in the Spurs rout at the Toyota Center. San Antonio fell to 14th place in the Western Conference with a 10-12 slate while the Rockets are in 12th place at 10-11.
The Wolves, meanwhile, are right at No.8 (11-11) as they prepare to host the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.
