NBA -- Rockets rain 16 triples to sink Warriors
By Franco Ching Alsay PhilBoxing.com Sat, 17 Nov 2018

HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets made 16 triples on the way to a 107-86 rout of the Golden State Warriors at the Toyota Center on Wednesday night.
James Harden led the onslaught with 27 points despite shooting only 8-of-23 from the field and 4-of-14 from the 3-point arc. Chris Paul had a quiet 10 points and seven assists but James Ennis III --- who took over the released Carmelo Anthony's slot in the starting lineup --- acquitted himself impeccably with 19 points. Eric Gorodn came off the bench with 17 while Clint Capela contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds.
It was a bittersweet triumph for the Rockets, especially Paul, who was a close friend to Anthony.
"He's one of my friends. He's a great guy and a great teammate. It just didn't work and that's part of the business," Paul said of the release of Anthony after just 10 games.
Kevin Durant drilled for 20 points but the Warriors couldn't get any traction on offense as they made only 42 of 76 shots and missed 14 of their 18 attempted threes, Kevin Looney and Quinn Cook combined for 23 points for the Warriors but Klay Thompson also had an off shooting night with a mere 10 points.
Despite the loss, the 12-4 Warriors stayed on top of the Western Conference while the Rockets are at 12th place at 7-7.
