PACQUIAO-BRONER NEWS AND INFO 3: BRONER IS READY FOR WAR

PhilBoxing.com

Adrien Broner posted on his social media account: ?I will be war ready.? That's intended for his fight with Manny Pacquiao set on January 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. "The Problem? Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) showed his training video on Instagram media on Tuesday and stated that he?s is ready for war against Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) although Broner vs. Pacquiao fight has not been officially announced yet.

But the both fighters will have no difficulty signing a contract to face each other because the eight-division world champion has signed up with Premier Boxing Champions head Al Haymon to direct his fighting career. Broner also is a protege of Haymon, and he will be the first fighter whom the senator will in a number of big fights in store for him. Pacquiao will be looking for a very convincing victory to defend his belt and hammer out a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Teddy Atlas, one of the best boxing trainers and one of the most controversial fight commentators have stated his comments on the Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight. As told to EsNews, Atlas said: ?Pacquiao, you know, the (Lucas) Matthysse fight is not indicative of what he might have left. Matthysse had nothing left. Don?t go by that. I don?t know how much Pacquiao has left but you might find out in the Broner fight because Broner is young enough, physical enough, talented enough and fast enough where if he?s right for that fight, if he?s in shape and mentally right for that fight, he can give Pacquiao more than is expected.?

Brandon Rios has tasted and tested Manny Pacquiao's ability gave his thoughts on the coming Pacquiao vs Broner fight. Speaking to Fight Hype, Brandon Rios said: ?You know what I think, Pacquiao will beat him. It depends on what Broner (turns up). I see Pacquiao beating him on points or maybe a stoppage in the late rounds. I don?t see the same Broner as the guy that he was once. I think (Marcos) Maidana took that out of him. I don?t see that him (a younger Broner) anymore.? When asked what advice can he give to Broner, Rios said: ?I didn?t beat Pacquiao so what can I tell him!??

As quoted by AB Boxing News, Lucas Matthysse coach Joel Diaz said of the fight: ?Out of all those fighters (at welterweight from Premier Boxing Champions) I think he will be like the weakest link to fight Manny Pacquiao coming into the new promotional deal with Al Haymon. I think if you put Errol Spence, Shawn Thurman, Keith Thurman and Adrien Broner, from all those four fighters obviously they are going to start of Manny Pacquiao with the easiest fight. I?m not saying it?s an easy fight but it will be easier than the other names.?

He added: ?It going to be a great fight don?t get me wrong, Adrien Broner always puts up great fights, he never turns anyone down and stepping in the ring with Manny Pacquiao is not an easy fight. It?s a dangerous fight for him.?

"Floyd is going to fight on December 31 and I'm going to fight January 12," Pacquiao said as quoted by the Daily Mail. "After that, we'll know... he's coming back, we'll discuss it after Broner." Pacquiao wants the fight to be on May 5, almost exactly four years after their last meeting. "If that fight happens, I want Cinco de Mayo (May 5) or July," said Pacquiao.

As reported by Forbes.com, some insiders believe Pacquiao?s deal with Haymon will help the Filipino fighter with his tax debt, freeing him up to compete in the United States. The purses have not been disclosed, but Pacquiao was guaranteed $20 million when he defeated Timothy Bradley in May 2016. Broner has more or less the same popularity with Bradley, and it looks like Pacquiao could receive at least the same amount.

Broner has not fought in the main event of a pay-per-view contest and his income was reportedly $1 million for his loss to Mikey Garcia in 2017. Against a superstar like Pacquiao, Broner could easily earn an 8-figure sum on a pay-per-view fight.
