NBA -- Kawhi Leonard to debut in Vancouver

VANCOUVER -- Kawhi Leonard will debut as a Toronto Raptor this Saturday at the Rogers Arena where he and his new teammates will play the Portland Trail Blazers in a pre-season game.
At the team's Media Day on Monday, Leonard told reporters he was "ready to move on" after missing 73 of last season's 82 games with a quadriceps injury. After seven glorious seasons with the San Antonio Spurs Leonard requested a trade this off-season and was shipped to Toronto for fellow All-Star DeMar DeRozan.
Amid rumors that he will join LeBron James with the Lakers next July when he becomes a free agent, the Raptors hope to re-sign Leonard long term but he remains non-committal saying, "my focus is on this year."
Leonard, 27, is a two-time All-Star who has played in 407 regular season games averaging 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per. He was also Finals MVP in 2014 when the Spurs beat the Miami Heat.
