LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles increased their win streak to four games after beating the under-manned Oklahoma City Thunder, 106-81, on Thursday night at the Staples Center.
Five Lakers players logged double figures in points with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leading the charge with 20. Brandon Ingram tallied 19 points while Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma accounted for 17 apiece with Randle adding six rebounds to his haul. Josh Hart, starting in place of the injured Lonzo Ball, finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Lakers shot 42 of 96 from the field and 10 of 31 from three-point distance. They improved their record to 23-31 but they remain five games behind for the last playoffs berth in the Western Conference.
Paul George registered 29 points for the Thunder, who were without Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony, both sidelined by ankle injuries. George made 11 of 29 field goals but got little help from the res of the Thunder. Steven Adams had 13 points and 9 boards for OKC while Jerami Grant added 8 points and 8 rebounds.
Despite dropping to 31-25 the Thunder kept the sixth spot in the West.
