TEPORA TO FIGHT FOR WBO ORIENTAL SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE AGAINST INDONESIAN SUSANTO
By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Wed, 30 Nov 2016

Undefeated Cebu City fighter Jack Tepora will vie for the vacant WBO Oriental super bantamweight title against Galih Susanto of Indonesia at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex on December 2, 2016.
Nicknamed "Jack Sparrow," Tepora became WBO Asia Pacific Youth super bantamweight champion when he stopped Jason Tinampay with a convincing 5th round knockout last March 6 at Robinson's Galleria, Cebu City.
Referee Bruce McTavish told the late Ronnie Nathanielsz that "Tepora put on a terrific performance and that Tinampay was a game opponent but Tepora had too much speed and power for him to handle."
Philboxing?s Dong Secuya commented that Tepora has a promising future but he has to face worthy opponents. He has a terrific record of 18-0-0, 13 KOs with a very high 72% KO rate.
Susanto from Yogyakarta, Indonesia has a record of 12-6-1, 2 KOs and may be only a tuneup for Tepora for more bigger fights ahead.
The Indonesian lost to Marlon Tapales before the Wakee Salud fighter became WBO bantamweight champ in Davao City in 2014.
Tepora stopped Bryan Capangpangan by TKO at 2:34 in round 1 in his first title defense of his WBA Asia Pacific Youth crown last July 30. He also defeated Andrew Palas last January 9 for the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) superbantamweight title via unanimous decision.
