LEAGUE OF FISTS: SUPERMIDDLEWEIGHT SEMIS AND SEASON II MATCHES

SHANGHAI, CHINA - Yilixiati Ainiwaer powered his way past Liu Yang to win their super middleweight semi-final bout and also kept his unbeaten run in the tournament.
Yilixiati uncorked a series of hard head and body shots in the first two rounds prompting Liu to decide not to answer the bell for the third round.

Yilixiati is now 7-0, 6KO?s.

Dong Chaoqun secured a hard fought majority decision win over Zhu Yijun in the other super middleweight semi-final for season one.
Dong had higher punch output in the early rounds but Zhu tried a last ditch rally in the sixth but it was not enough.
The scores ? 58-56 from Mekin Sumon and Danrex Tapdasan with 57-57 from Salven Lagumbay.

Dong is now 5-1,2KO?s. His only loss came at the hands of Yilixiati in his second fight in the League of Fists tournament last October.

For the Season Two matches:

Zhang Chengbo and Hajihabuli Mulati traded knockdowns in round one but Zhang fired a left hook to the jaw that floored Hajihabuli and prompted Referee Yin Haiyang to stop the contest at the 0:54 mark of the second round of the opening light heavyweight match.

The junior flyweight bout between Wu Rongguo vs Maihesutijiang Maihemuti ended in a technical majority draw after four rounds.
After trading hard punches, a clash of heads opened a cut on Wu?s right forehead in the third round. The bleeding was stopped by his cornerman in between rounds but blood flowed out of the cut again in the fourth prompting the stoppage and the fight went to the scorecards.Yang Hong and Salven Lagumbay ? 38-38, Surat Soikrachang 39-37 for Maihemuti.

Mu Xiaolu sent Sun Yutong staggering after a volley of head shots prompting referee Han Hongxiang to stop the contest at 0:55 of the 3rd round with Mu the winner by TKO in this junior featherweight bout. Sun was also bleeding from the nose from the opening round.

In another light heavyweight scrap, Maimaitijiang Nuermaimaiti beat Zheng Ming Liang by TKO in the second round. Referee Danrex Tapdasan stopped it at the 1:23 mark after Zheng continued to receive heavy shots to the head.

The junior flyweight Chao brothers won their respective fights. Chao Ke got a majority decision against Liu Hao. (Zhao Yubin and Tao Zhendong ? 39-37, Haung Shenmeng ? 38-38) while Chao Lemen beat Ma Haibin by unanimous decision. (Salven Lagumbay and Yin Haiyang ? 39-37,Danrex Tapdasan ? 40-36).

Chen Sen got a majority decision win over Ren Kuihan in a junior featherweight tussle. The scores ? Yan Wenghong ? 39-37,Zhu Yuwen ? 40-36,Han Hongxiang ? 38-38.

In another junior featherweight bout, Liu Zhong outbrawled Ayati Sailike and won by 40-36 on the scorecards of Han Hongxiang,Salven Lagumbay and Yang Hong.

The second of a back to back fight card was held Saturday at Yun Space, Elite Valley in Shanghai and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission of China (PBCC). The League of Fists professional boxing tournament is promoted by Seca and Top Rank. It was created to search for boxing talent in mainland China. The winner in the tournament finals will be crowned Greater China champions in their respective divisions by the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
