NBA -- Bulls sting Hornets, snatch fifth win
By Kelly Manalo PhilBoxing.com Sun, 15 Nov 2015
CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls exacted revenge on the Charlotte Hornets, winning 102-97, on Friday night at the United Center.
The well-rested Bulls, who had come off a 3-night rest, had five players scoring in double figures in points.
A bright spot for Chicago was Center Joakim Noah returning to the floor. He did not play Monday night in Philadelphia due to knee soreness as he was a late scratch from the game when he was slated to be in the starting lineup. He ended the game with 18 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 points.
?Jo was awesome.? praised coach Fred Hoiberg after the game.
The Hornets did their best to keep the game close by shooting an astounding 46 percent from the three point line. Nicholas Batum led the game in scoring with 28 points and Kemba Walker chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 27 points and put the dagger to the Hornets with 5 seconds left when he hit a pull up jumper that rolled around the rim to drop in to seal the game. Pau Gasol added 19 points and 13 boards. Derrick Rose struggled shooting the basketball but had a game high 8 assists.
The Bulls will play their last home game to take on the Indiana Pacers next before heading out on their road trip, while Charlotte will play the Portland Trailblazers.
