TALENTLESS OR POISONLESS?

PhilBoxing.com

Rubio.
Poisonless or talentless? Is that the story of what happened to Marco Antonio Rubio? Or is he just a victim of mismanagement?

It's probably the fact that his lack of talent has something to do with his current situation. But how many fighters with far less talent or skill are well managed and have achieved success in their careers? Many I would say -- many names come to mind at this moment and they are so many that it's almost impossible to mention all of them.

Perhaps the promoters should stop using some sort of fighters as tomato cans, but then again if you don't have tomatoes cans then you wouldn't have boxing stars. Marco Rubio could very well fit in that category now (tomato can). Looks like Oswaldo Kuckle, Rubio's promoter sold his soul to the devil and that's how "Veneno" has been used and abused by none other than PBC's own Al Haymon.

And that's the way it works in boxing today, specifically in some promotional outlets. It looks like Haymon is set to put Mexican boxing to extinction in the same way Donald Trump wants to extinguish the Mexican people from the United States.

In that regard, this is a very sad situation. Just recently Abner Mares, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jhonny Gonzalez etc. Now Rubio and Japanese but Mexican to the bone Tomoki Kameda, and the list goes on.

So when is this going to stop? Who is next? Filipinos? Argentinians? Armenians? It's lack of professionalism.

The fighter should be first, the fighters must have control, the fighter as an individual should be able to decide what to do and not be told what to do, that's exactly what the Rubios, Kamedas, Chavez's, Mares, Ortiz's and many more don't understand. They keep falling into the hands of the Donald Trump of boxing and the results are there, this fighters have no respect from the boxing community, no respect from the fans.

Rubio is just an example of how a fighter can sell himself for a few Dollars and become nothing more than a tomato can, that will turn to nothing in the short term instead of having a long career.

The Crocs are on the loose -- who cares about a tomato can, right?
