The address by Sulaiman before 100 hand-picked guests at the exquisite Filmore Room had been arranged by the WBC?s Jill Diamond with Adam Hill and Nick Keller of Beyond Sports. The WBC website reported that the guests were top people in the sporting and philanthropy sectors who waited in keen anticipation of the WBC president?s presence given his overwhelming schedule and by all accounts they were not disappointed. Beyond Sports is a sports and philanthropy organization that is supported by the NBA, NFL, NHL, Barclays and Unicef and they were reportedly thrilled to have the WBC president as the key speaker at their dinner. The WBC reported that South African television star and commentator Dan Nicholas spoke with Mauricio about ?the power of the athletes as an enabler for positive social change.? Since the WBC membership has what is probably the most diverse representation of any sporting body and given the WBC?s love for and connection with their athletes.
