Mayol Waiting for His Chance to Fight!

WBC no. 3 minimumweight Rodel 'Batang Mandaue' Mayol, who is now in the United States to put his career back on track, is reportedly running every morning near the Giorgia home of his manager Terry Lee Carter to keep himself in shape for his next fight.
"Rodel is just here with us. Jogging everyday," reported Joy Ouano-Carter, Terry's wife, in an interview with this writer.
Mayol (23-1, 18 KO's), who severed ties with his Japanese manager Yasuo Matsuoka earlier, is expected to be back into action in the next few months possibly in a Top Rank event, although no schedule has yet been announced for the very talented Mandaue City warrior.
Carter is currently working with Canadian fight agent Michael Koncz to give Mayol and another Filipino fighter Mercito Gesta their break in the US.
Mayol is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Japan's Masatsugu Okada in his first bout since losing a close unanimous decision to WBC champion Eagle Kyowa.
Mayol was cruising to an easy night against Kyowa in the first six rounds, but lost steam in the remaining half to squander his lead against the Japan-based Thai fighter.
