SULAIMAN SAYS SONSONA SCORED AN UNBELIEVABLE KNOCKOUT AS ESTRELLA VOWS TO COME BACK By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Thu, 21 May 2015  World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman has described Eden Sonsona?s 2nd round stoppage of previously undefeated Mexican Adrian ?Diamante? Estrella as an ?unbelievable knockout? even as the 22 year old vows to come back. Promoter Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde who arranged the fight for the hard-hitting southpaw Sonsona told the New Standard/boxingmirror.com that the Mexican promoter wants a rematch and that he is negotiating for a bigger purse than the reported offer of $15,000. The WBC quoted Estrella who had an unblemished record of 21-0 with 20 knockouts going into the fight against Sonsona that his KO loss to the Filipino was merely ?a bad day at the office, but he'll get up, sit down, do his homework and he'll learn from this, not allowing it to dent his confidence - and he will fulfill his ambition of becoming WBC world Champion.? The WBC reported that Estrella conceded defeat didn't cross his mind, but mused, ?Every single fighter falls eventually. You must get up, learn and keep progressing.? The 22 year old super featherweight added ?I think that his blow came during a moment in which I wasn't focused enough. I lost my head and then I paid a high prize for my over confidence.? To the WBC, Estrella?s losing his undefeated, unblemished record ?has proved a chastening experience, but it was also a timely wake up call, he's still utterly undaunted and totally focused on becoming a WBC Champion.?
