A HERO?S WELCOME FOR A GALLANT PACQUIAO By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Tue, 12 May 2015  Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao will receive a hero?s welcome when he arrives with his family from Los Angeles where he underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder which was aggravated in round four of his ?Battle for Greatness? against undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. Solar Entertainment which acquired the exclusive television rights for the unprecedented multi network coverage of the fight has organized a massive motorcade following a press conference at the VIP lounge of Philippine Airlines Centennial Terminal 2. Solar Sports said that with pain shooting up his right shoulder, Manny Pacquiao still tried to give the boxing world an exciting fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Even if he was not able to throw his vaunted right hook, Pacquiao did not stop chasing the undefeated American around the ring. Pacquiao lost via unanimous decision to Mayweather in what was billed as the biggest fight of both boxers? careers. Pacquiao also lost his WBO welterweight title and a chance of entering the history books to be being first man to defeat Mayweather. Pacquiao may have lost a lot in Las Vegas but his head remains unbowed. The members of the TV panel that covered the fight at ringside all felt that Pacquiao won a close fight. Respected TV analyst and Philippine Star columnist Quinito ?The Dean? After a quick breakfast, the motorcade is slated to start at 9:00 am. Legions of Filipino boxing fans will get the chance to see the country?s pride and joy as the motorcade runs through Makati City via Pasay Road, Makati Ave., Ayala Ave., Sen.
