NBA -- Nets end 5-game skid, get back in the playoffs chase
By Vadim Atbashyan PhilBoxing.com Sun, 15 Mar 2015

BROOKLYN -- After drifting out of the playoffs picture following a five-game losing streak, the Brooklyn Nets are back in the hunt.
Thaddeus Young chalked 21 points and 9 rebounds while Joe Johnson added 15 to lead the Nets to a 94-87 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
Brooklyn won despite shooting just 44 percent from the field (37 of 84) and 11.8 percent from 3-point range (2-of-17). Brooklyn also struggled at the free throw line, 18-of-26.
With an improved 26-38 slate, the Nets crept to within three games of the 29-35 Charlotte Hornets for the 8th and last playoffs berth in the Eastern Conference.
"This is huge for us. Hopefully this is the one that gets us on a winning streak. We're going to take this game and we're going to try to piggyback off it and go out there and get some more wins," Young told ESPN.
Nerlens Noel led the Sixers with 17 and 7 rebounds while Joe Johnson finished with 15. Jarrett Jack had 12 off the bench. Brook Lopez, Deron Williams and Alan Anderson chipped in 10 apiece.
After a poor shooting night of shooting just 37.2 percent from the filed, the Sixers .dropped to 15-51.
