NBA -- Clippers torch Kings behind Rivers' 28 points

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers smoked the Sacramento Kings for 42 second quarter points and raced to a 126-99 rout on Saturday night at the Staples Center.
Five Clippers scored in double figures led by Austin Rivers, who cranked 28 points off the bench.J.J. Redick record 24 while Jamal Crawford added 23. DeAndre Jordan chipped in 11 with 15 rebounds and Chris Paul directed the offense with 10 points and nine dimes.
"His confidence has grown since he's been here, said Clips coach Doc Rivers of his son Austin's performance. "The guys have been so supportive because they know what he can do offensively. He got on the team with his defense," rivers added.
The Clips improved to 37-19 by shooting 48.4 percent from the field (46-of-95) and 14 of 35 from 3-point range. The Kings outrebounded the Clips, 55-54 but Los Angeles had 31 assists to Sacramento's 18.
DeMarcus Cousins was the high point man for the Kings with 21 points.
