TUBIERON TO FACE JOSH WARRINGTON IN WBC WORLD FEATHERWEIGHT ELIMINATOR By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Mon, 12 Jan 2015 Tubieron. Filipino southpaw Dennis Tubieron will face Britain? s Josh Warrington in an official eliminator for the WBC world featherweight title at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on April 11, live on Sky Sports in England. Sky Sports reported that Warrington, the Leeds featherweight faces ?a tough task in his hometown as he looks to pick up the WBC International crown against ?The Scorpion? from the Philippines. The 25 year old Tubieron who has a record of 19-3-2 with 8 knockouts fought Carlo Magali for the WBC international title on December 28 last year with the action-packed encounter ending in a controversial draw last and leaving the title vacant. Sky Sports said Warrington ?will be aiming to continue a meteoric rise over the last year that has seen him beat Samir Mouniemne, Rendall Munroe, Martin Lindsay and Davide Dieli in a dazzling run of displays.? In his last fight against Dieli, Warrington won by a 4th round TKO in which he dropped the Belgian Dieli once.in round three October last year to win the vacant European Boxing Union title . Earlier on May 21 Warrington won the Commonwealth and vacant British titles with a twelve round unanimous decision over Martin Lindsay last May 19 and in a busy year scored a 7th round win over Rendall Munroe in a Commonwealth title defense in which Munroe claimed he had hurt his mouth and retired in-between rounds one month earlier on April 19. The undefeated 24-year-old Warrington who sports a record of 19-0 with 3 knockouts , travels to Berlin to fight on the undercard of Paul Smith?s super-middleweight world title rematch against Arthur Abraham on February 21 before returning to the UK to prepare for the crunch clash against Tubieron. Warrington is ranked No. 12 by the WBA and No. 11 by the WBC. Tubieron who is ranked No. 11 by the WBA, one notch ahead of Warrington, is fighter from the stable of Gabriel ?Bebot?
