The Philippines Ronald Pontillas was kmocked out in the 5th round of a scheduled twelve round bout for the WBO Asia Pacific lightweight interim title at the Pangsuma Sports Hall in West Borner Province in Indonesia.

Indonesian boxing writer Jeff Pamungkas reported that the IBO lightweight champion Daud ?Cino? Yordan was the aggressor from the opening bell with several clean shots to the face of Pontillas even as the Filipino responded with a few good counter punches in the opening round.

Yordan maintained his aggressiveness in the second round while the southpaw Pontillas tried to land solid left counter punches but appeared to fade in round three after he suffered a cut near his left eye Yordan went after Pontillas in round five and nailed him with some solid blows to the head and when Pontillas tried to cover up, Yordan attacked the body.

Yordan sparred almost 200 rounds against southpaw counter-punchers.

The Jakarta Globe reported that Pontillas conceded that Daud was ?more famous and a better fighter than me but I will work hard in the fight.?
