NBA -- "Fragile" Cavs squander 18-point lead against Raptors By Karolyn Kuehner PhilBoxing.com Mon, 24 Nov 2014 ![]() CHICAGO -- The Cleveland Cavaliers blew an 18 point lead at home and ended up losing to the visiting Toronto Raptors,110-93, in a stunning turnaround at the Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday night. Reserve guard Lou Williams tormented the Cavaliers for 36 points off the bench. In just 29 minutes of playing time, the 6-foot-1 Williams made 9 of 19 field goals and sank all of his 15 free throws. The Cavs went on a fiery start and took a 26-8 lead with 4:03 left in the opening quarter. But the Raptors went on a crippling 90-53 run to turn that huge deficit into a 98-79 advantage at the 6:11 mark of the final quarter. The Cavaliers couldn't recover from the onslaught and lost their fourth straight. Cleveland now holds a below average 5-7 record in the overall standings, seventh place in the Eastern Conference. The unfortunate turn of events did not sit well with LeBron James, who voice his displeasure after the game and told NBA.com, "We're a very fragile team right now. Well, we were a fragile team from the beginning. Any little adversity hits us, we just shell up. That's something that will come with experience." Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan were also huge for Toronto, finishing with 23 points and eight rebounds and 20 points and five assists, respectively. The Raptors now lead the East with an 11-2 slate. Kevin Love topscored for the Cavs with 23 points and seven rebounds while Kyrie Irving had 21 and six assists. James, a 4-time league MVP and 2-time NBA champion, recorded 15 points and 10 boards, but he was hounded by five turnovers. After a cold and error prone start, Toronto cleaned up its act and made 32 of 80 field goals and 8 of 24 triples.
