NBA -- Knicks' rally falls short in Milwaukee By Vito Tito Jr PhilBoxing.com Thu, 20 Nov 2014 ![]() MILWAUKEE -- Trailing the Milwaukee bucks, 83-57, at the 6:18 mark of the third quarter on Tuesday night, the New York Knicks mounted a furious comeback and got to within 115-113 in the final 7.9 seconds of play. But it all went for naught when veteran guard Jerryd Bayless swished two free throws in the ensuing possession and the Bucks preserved a 117-113 victory before a crowd of 12,190 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. "It doesn't matter how we start, but its more how we finish," Bucks rookie Jabari Parker told reporters following his team's scare. Parker, the No.2 pick in last June's NBA draft, finished with 12 points and five boards. Irsan Ilyasova paced Milwaukee with 20 points while ZaZa Pachulia and Brandon Knight each had 14. Kris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo registered 13 apiece to highlight the Bucks' balanced offense. Carmelo Anthony converted 10 of 17 field goals for 26 points to lead the Knicks. Tim Hardaway Jr contributed 24 and Iman Shumpert, who hails from Chicago, added 21 more. Against the fourth-bets defense in the NBA, the Knicks shot a high 55 percent from the field (44-of-80) and a decent 44 percent from 3-point range (11-for-15). But the Knicks also allowed the Bucks to shoot a high 55.1 percent from the field (43-of-78) and 52.9 percent from 3-point land (9-of-17).
