NBA -- Knight's 3-point play ends Grizzlies' unbeaten streak

MILWAUKEE -- The host Milwaukee Bucks ended the Memphis Grizzlies' winning streak at six by scoring a suspenseful 93-92 victory Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Trailing 92-90 with 8.2 seconds left to play, Brandon Knight converted on an old-fashioned 3-point play to provide the winning margin. Memphis guard Courtney Lee missed a long 3 as time expired, allowing the Bucks to escape and improve to 3-4.
"It's what you dream about as a kid, being to shoot that game-winning free throw, and it happened tonight. I was able to knock it down and get a win for our team," said Knight who capped his heroic evening with 14 points and six helpers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had another stellar outing with 18 points on 6-fot-11 shooting from the field for Milwaukee while prized Jabari Parker contributed 13 and four boards. Ersan Ilyasova registered 11 points and nine rebounds.
As expected the Grizzlies big men -- Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol dominated the inside with a combined 40 points and 18 rebounds.
But Memphis struggled mightily from the floor and made only 29 of 82 field goals, 35.4 percent. The Grizzlies also did not fare well with the 3-ball, sinking just 3 of 14 from above the arc, a meek 21.4 percent. (VTJ)
