Super featherweight Jose ?Sniper? Pedraza is wrapping up his final days of training camp as he prepares to face hard-hitting Filipino southpaw Michael Farenas on an IBF elimination bout at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 14.

Pedraza .who has an unbeaten record of 18-0 with 12 knockouts said "I'm ready to show the world that I'm ready to take on all comers and on November 14 I will showcase my skills and qualities in the ring."

Pedraza who is ranked No. 6 by the IBF said "The training is done and now it's time to focus on making weight. Farenas represents exactly what we wanted. He is a strong, world-class opponent. I will use every weapon in my arsenal to come out on top. I will give all Puerto Rico a great victory."

Farenas who is ranked No.2 behind a record of 39-4-4 with 31 knockouts has ?looked very good in sparring? according to former two division world champion Gerry Penalosa who told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that Farenas has been sparring with Jesus ?Speedy? Gonzales, a former sparring partner of ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacquiao at Freddie Roach?s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.

Penalosa said they would leave for Puerto nRico together with his brother Carl Penalosa and strength and conditioning coach Jay San Pedro who have supervised the training of Farenas for several weeks and are looking forward to Farenas whom he described as ?a hungry fighter? earning a shot at the world title currently held by Rances Barthelemy.

Promoter Gary Shaw who for a short time also handled Pacquiao, feels Pedraza is on the verge of super stardom.

Shaw said, "I believe Jose Pedraza is the best 130 pounder in boxing. He has all the ability to fight against any style. He's very popular in his native land of Puerto Rico and I feel he's on the threshold of some really big fights. Farenas is a big step up but I know Pedraza will be ready for the challenge."
