UNDEAFEATED ?PRINCE? ALBERT PAGARA, PREPARED BUT NOT OVER-CONFIDENT

PhilBoxing.com

CEBU CITY ? ?Prince? Albert Pagara (21W-0-0, 15 KOs) is set to fight against Mexican brawler Raul Hirales (22W-3L-1D, 11KOs) as part of the undercard fights of the ?Pinoy Pride 28: History in the Making? at the Waterfront Casino and Hotel Cebu on November 15, 2014.

?I am constantly working hard on my stamina, speed and footwork,? the 20-year old undefeated fighter responded when asked about his preparation. Pagara assured that he ?will be 100% prepared for the fight? but emphasized that he does ?not want to be over-confident? because the opponent is ?a dangerous fighter?.

Pagara, who will be defending his Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title against Hirales, is fighting once again after a 2014 series of exceptional victories: a 1st round TKO triumph over Mexican Hugo Partida last June 21, a stunning 3rd round TKO against Indonesian Skak Max last April 11 and a 1st round KO victory over Indonesian Isack Junior last March 1.

Hirales, on the other hand, has a knockout stint that includes an 8th round KO against Francisco Leal (that eventually lead to Leal?s death due to brain injury three days after the fight) on October of last year, an 8th round TKO against Fernando Vargas last February 8, 2014 and a superb 3rd round KO against Ernesto Guerrero last May 17, 2014.

Hirales, however, lost his latest fight against a relentless Colombian Luis Melendez (who is also the last opponent of ALA Gym?s Z ?The Dream? Gorres before ending his career) by a ten-round decision for the vacant WBO-NABO super bantamweight title last August 16.

Should the 20-year old ?Prince? Albert from Cagayan de Oro City, who battled his way undefeated in all his 400 amateur bouts before turning professional at age 16, succeed in this fight, it may well pave the way to becoming a boxing superstar.

Pagara versus Hirales will be an undercard fight of the headline match between Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes(33W-1L-4D, 19KOs) and Mexican Carlos Velarde (26W-3L-1D, 14KOs) ? a voluntary defense of Nietes? WBO World Light Flyweight title. Boxing fans have expressed their joyful anticipation of the upcoming showdown and witness Filipino boxers prove their capacity in the ring.
