Pacquiao accepts the #icebucketchallenge
By Rich Mazon PhilBoxing.com Wed, 27 Aug 2014

He's going to do it, The Pacman has accepted the hugely popular social media movement that is - the ice bucket challenge.
After being nominated or challenged to do the ALS awareness fundraiser by his future opponent Chris Algieri; fellow Filipino boxing superstar, Nonito Donaire and popular Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, boxing icon Manny Pacquiao has accepted the dare from all three.
Pacquiao told Top Rank reporter Crystina Poncher that he is up to the task and that he'll be taking the challenge after the conclusion of his current press tour.
"After the press tour, I will do it." the boxer told Poncher in a posted interview via Instagram.
Pacquiao is currently in the middle of a 27, 273 mile promotional caravan with American Chris Algieri. Both are globally promoting their November 23 welterweight showdown in Macao, China.
Algieri was the first one to challenge Pacquiao to either take the ice bucket dousing or donate to the ALS cause- or both.
Both boxers kicked off their six-city press tour last Monday at The Venetian in Macao, China - site of their upcoming bout. The promotional campaign will make it's final stop in New York City on September 4th.
And then, The Pacman will take a cold one and hopefully donate a substantial amount of money for a good cause.
