MMA STAR SABAH FADAI POISED TO CONQUER ASIA PhilBoxing.com Wed, 30 Apr 2014 Cebu's MMA star Sabah "The Persian Warrior" Fadai has indicated his intention to campaign once again in Asia and vowed to make a noise in the featherweight division. Fadai, a dentist, had won the Martial Combat lightweight title a few years ago, and had taken a break while pursuing his dentistry studies at Cebu's Southwestern University. "So my entire goal is to let people know that "The Persian Warrior" is a force to reckon with in the featherweight devision. I've fought 4 times in Asia and i have won them all. Once in cebu, once in Manila, and twice in Singapore. The fight in Manila is until today one of their most devastating knockouts. And both my fights in Singapore for Martial Combat were finishes. Martial Combat was also run by Victor Cui who is the CEO and owner of OneFC. I won the lightweight super fight title in MC. Every other MC title holder got a shot in OneFC." Asked to comment on the current state of MMA in Asia, Fadai pointed out that it has taken progress by leaps and bounds. "Of course the phenomenal success of MMA in Asia is led by OneFC, which has taken game-changing and innovative approach in how they hold events all over the Asia. OneFC in Asia is the best thing that ever happened to the sport." "I was honored to be called "the adopted son of Cebu,". I was a part of Deftac Cebu and still until today I talk about how much that team has done for me with coach Norman Go. I've won multiple gold medals in the Pan Asian Jiu-Jitsu/Grappling international tournaments which were located inside Mall Of Asia in Manila. I have a lot of friends and some i would consider family in Cebu. I have a lot of supporters, but more so i think i would be a force in the featherweight division. and i know a lot of people in the philippines would vouch on that. Bringing Sabah Fadai from North America to fight in OneFC in Asia is an investment for OneFC as i have the potential to become the champ in the Featherweight Division and even Victor Cui himself has said so when i fought for him in Martial Combat 1 and 8. He said i have what it takes to be a superstar. But my studies as a dentist studying at Southwestern University was very important to me but now that i am fully committed and focused on fighting, nothing can stop me." ![]() |
